Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, just ask.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. We are currently welcoming adult patients across Virginia and Washington State. Most new patients are seen within one to two weeks of reaching out.
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept most insurance plans, including commercial plans, Medicare, and Medicaid. When you request an appointment we verify your specific benefits before your first visit so there are no surprises.
Where do you see patients?
All visits are online through secure telehealth. We see adult patients who are located in Virginia or Washington State at the time of the appointment.
How does telehealth work?
After scheduling, you receive a secure video link by email. At your appointment time, open the link on a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera, from any private space. No software installation or technical skill is required.
What happens at the first appointment?
Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation: an unhurried conversation about your history, current concerns, and goals. Together you and your provider agree on a treatment plan, and you leave knowing exactly what happens next.
Can you prescribe medication through telehealth?
In most cases yes. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. Certain medications have additional requirements, which your provider will explain during your evaluation.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens. We ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations so the time can be offered to another patient. Repeated late cancellations may involve a fee, which we explain in your intake paperwork.
What should I do in a crisis?
This practice is not an emergency service and messages are not monitored around the clock. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or call 911 immediately.
